The Invisible Labyrinth is a game for 2-5 players about branching timelines, uncertain futures, and escaping what seems inevitable. It is a loose hack of the games Microscope by Ben Robbins and I’m Sorry, Did You Say Street Magic by Caro Asercion. In this game, you will play as a small group of characters as you nonlinearly create a web of timelines about their possible journeys. The Invisible Labyrinth was inspired by works like:

  • 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (and the rest of the Zero Escape Franchise)
  • Umineko When They Cry
  • AI: The Somnium Files
  • The Garden of Forking Paths
  • WOE.BEGONE

The Invisible Labyrinth can be played using an online flowchart maker such as Miro or flowchart.io, or it can be played in person using a deck of tarot cards (or another oracle deck) and a corkboard with string (as seen, partially disassembled, in the screenshots).

The game contains:

  • Tips & tricks for playing a nonlinear story!
  • Instructions for building your Invisible Labyrinth timeline flowchart!
  • TWO (2) oracle tables to guide play, based on the flavor/harshness of your game!
  • SIX (6) starting scenarios inspired by media about time travel and branching timelines!
  • Full artistic layout by Christian Geldart! (https://bsky.app/profile/little-zilla.bsky.social)

morgan this looks INCREDIBLE, so excited to crack into it!

It's rare to play a game that so successfully and wholly immerses you in the ritual of it, much less one that so deftly wraps you up in its vibey internal logic. I'm obsessed!

This is exactly the game ive been looking for! And also the layout is REALLY GOOD, incredible work!

Whoa, I love the sound of this pitch! I'll grab it once I've got the scratch, because it sounds spectacular.
